A security specialist with extensive senior-level experience, Paul Joined Global Switch in 2022 as Senior Security Advisor bringing with him over 30 years of investigative and corporate security experience.
Prior to joining Global Switch, Paul was BP’s Global Head of Digital Security Operations Centres, responsible for the continuous cyber monitoring and defence of the company’s global information and data systems. Paul also held senior security positions in the company for physical security, designing and implementing bespoke solutions for security challenges, including developing security standard for their data centres, server rooms and ICS control rooms. Before this, Paul was Head of the National Counter Terrorism Coordination Centre for the UK where he led and directed the design, build and development of a multi-agency national unit, working with police, IT, government and military specialists.
Paul has an MA (Merit) in Intelligence and Security Studies from Brunel University and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Managers’ Institute.
Paul is responsible for providing advice, guidance, internal consulting support and direction in the overall control of security provision, policy and practices across Global Switch. His role encompasses all aspects of continuous improvement in security including physical, technical, personnel, data and cyber and he also leads on security culture and education.
